RFI - L’affaire du USS Cole embarrasse le gouvernement Siniora
In a hugely symbolic move, the US is moving the USS Cole off the coast of Lebanon. Not only are we moving a whole heap of death into striking distance of Hezballah, but we are also reminding them that we survived their first attack on the Cole.
I may be over-reading this, of course. It’s just as possible that the symbolism is completely lost on the bureaucrat who made the decision, but that’s okay by me.
